Ryan Ennis

General Manager & Director of Golf

In 2019, Ryan came to the Barrie Country Club with 19 years of tenure as the Assistant Head Golf Professional at The National Golf Club of Canada. Prior to his years at The National, Ryan worked at National Pines in Barrie and is a graduate of Georgian College’s Professional Golf Management program. 

2023 marks Ryan's fifth season at the Barrie Country Club, and he looks forward to the 2023 season, and continuing to ensure each BCC member experiences a fantastic member experience. 

Jacob Altenburg

Head Golf Professional

Jacob is a 8 year Class A Member of the PGA of Canada and a 15 year veteran in the golf industry. He graduated from the PGM (Professional Golf Management) course at Georgian College in 2010 and has since been an Associate Professional at top golf courses in the country including The National Golf Club of Canada and Oakdale Golf and Country Club. Jacob has proficiency in teaching all ages and skill levels and enjoys sharing his knowledge of the golf swing. He looks forward to leaving his mark at the Barrie Country Club for many years to come.

 

Fred Davey

Head Teaching Professional

Fred is a 20-year veteran Class A member of the PGA of Canada. Fred spent 4 years coaching at the Eagles Nest Golf Academy under the direction of Henry Brunton, Master Golf Professional. Before that, he spent 12 years as the Director of Instruction at the Summit Golf Club.

Fred has made the shift from being a traditional golf instructor to a modern golf coach, and students of all ages and abilities are certain to benefit from his experience and expertise.

He is a Certified Club Fitter for TaylorMade, Titleist and Callaway, a US Kids Golf Coach and has a Degree from Wilfred Laurier University, where he played on the Golden Hawks Team each year. Fred utilizes launch monitor data and video analysis to facilitate learning. Creating solid impact conditions that produce consistent ball striking is a key focus in all coaching sessions, along with short game skill improvement. Fred has written numerous articles for golf publications, lectured at Humber Colleges and his instruction has appeared on Score TV.

Tracey Brawley-Burbridge

Associate Professional

Tracey Brawley-Burbridge is a PGA of Canada Class A Professional and has been in the industry for 33 years.
Her experience as a golf professional started at Markland Wood Golf and Country Club under the direction of Master Professional, Ken Duggan.

She is entering her 17th season at Barrie Country Club where she coaches men, women and children.
One of her main duties at BCC is buying and merchandising for the Pro Shop as well as running the Ladies’ League, assisting in organization of women’s events and sits on the BCC Ladies’ executive.

Brandon Hillier

Assistant Professional

Brandon graduated from Indiana Tech University with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science. Brandon has always had a passion for golf and been working in the industry since 2014 starting in the Back Shop at Hockley Valley. Brandon became a PGA of Canada Golf Professional in 2020 and while working in the golf industry, he also has been involved in both personal & sport specific training. With Brandon being a TPI Certified professional as well, he brings a wealth of knowledge in the Golf Fitness realm and is looking forward to working with everyone on game and general health improvement. 
 

Rob Ferguson

Golf Services Manager

Rob is entering his sixth season here at the Barrie Country Club. Rob has a passion for service, spending twenty years with Starbucks Coffee in the role of Regional Director. Rob is also involved with the Barrie Colts of the OHL. 

His passion and enthusiasm for the game of golf is very evident when you meet him and is always making sure our members needs are attended to at all times.
