Ryan Ennis

Director of Golf

Ryan comes to the Barrie Country Club with 19 years of tenure as the Assistant Head Golf Professional at The National Golf Club of Canada. Prior to his years at The National, Ryan worked at National Pines in Barrie and is a graduate of Georgian College’s Professional Golf Management program. 

Ryan is very excited to join the Barrie Country Club, and looks forward to meeting the members, and contributing to a fantastic member experience. 

Bill Wogden

Professional Emeritus - Club Ambassador

Bill proudly filled the Head Professional position at Barrie Country Club for 27 years (1992-2018). Bill has been recognized as the PGA of Canada's Club Professional of the Year (2008). Under his direction and leadership, the Club's golf operation set the service standard for member and guest enjoyment of daily play along with a busy calendar of club events. Bill's mentorship and guidance helped to develop many young Professionals and key golf operations team members. Through the years, Bill has contributed to the growth of Barrie CC through the computerization of the golf operation, construction of the teaching building along with the use of technology to grow into a year-round Golf Academy, Future Links and other Junior golf initiatives, along with the design for the golf operation in the new clubhouse. Bill coordinated all the golf events for the Club's Centennial Year (2013) celebrations. These contributions helped to bring prominent professional and amateur events to Barrie CC.
A strong player throughout his 40+ years as a PGA member, Bill has won several professional events and was twice the runner-up in the PGA of Ontario Senior Championship. Qualifying as an Ontario team member eight times in the prestigious Ontario-Quebec team matches is also on his competitive resume. Bill has been a member of the Titleist Leadership Advisory Staff for over twenty years.
Bill remains active around Barrie Country Club, engaging with members and guests to share his love and passion for golf and for the Club.

Fred Davey

PGA Head Teaching Professional

Fred is a 20-year veteran Class A member of the PGA of Canada. Fred spent 4 years coaching at the Eagles Nest Golf Academy under the direction of Henry Brunton – Master Golf Professional. Before that, he spent 12 years as the Director of Instruction at the Summit Golf Club.
Fred has made the shift from being a traditional golf instructor to a modern golf coach, and students of all ages and abilities are certain to benefit from his experience and expertise.
He is a Certified Club Fitter for TaylorMade, Titleist and Callaway, a US Kids Golf Coach and has a Degree from Wilfred Laurier University, where he played on the Golden Hawks Team each year.
Fred utilizes launch monitor data and video analysis to facilitate learning. Creating solid impact conditions that produce consistent ball striking is a key focus in all coaching sessions, along with short game skill improvement. Fred has written numerous articles for golf publications, lectured at Humber Colleges and his instruction has appeared on Score TV.

Tracey Brawley-Burbridge

PGA Class A Professional

Tracey Brawley-Burbridge is a PGA of Canada Class A Professional and has been in the industry for 31 years.
Her experience as a golf professional started at Markland Wood Golf and Country Club under the direction of Master Professional, Ken Duggan.
She is entering her 11th season at Barrie Country Club where she coaches men, women and children.
One of her main duties at BCC is buying and merchandising for the Pro Shop as well as running the Ladies’ League, assisting in organization of women’s events and sits on the BCC Ladies’ executive.
Tracey looks forward to a very successful 2019 Golf season and welcomes all members, new and old, to drop into the Pro Shop with questions, concerns or simply to say “Hello”.

Jacob Altenburg

PGA Class A Professional

Jacob is a 5 year Class A Member of the PGA of Canada and a 12 year veteran in the golf industry. He graduated from the PGM (Professional Golf Management) course at Georgian College in 2010 and has since been an Associate Professional at top golf courses in the country including, The National Golf Club of Canada and most recently Oakdale Golf and Country Club. Jacob has proficiency in teaching all ages and skill levels and enjoys sharing his knowledge of the golf swing. He looks forward to leaving his mark at the Barrie Country Club for many years to come.

Dalton Koopmans

PGA Professional

Dalton graduated from the Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (Golf Management) at Georgian College in April of 2016. He has competed in Long Drive events since 2012 accomplishing four, fifth place finishes at the Canadian National Championships with the longest competition drive recorded at 373 yards. In the fall of 2015, Dalton became a member of the PGA of Canada and is in the process of becoming a Class A Professional. In recent years Dalton has also worked for Titleist as a Professional Club Fitter, allowing him to help any members wishing to upgrade their equipment.
